Fear, Anxiety & Stress
Dahlia WittWe hear these words so often anymore in our society. We can become so paralyzed by fear, anxiety & stress that we do absolutely nothing. Or we can be on the complete opposite side of things, and drive ourselves completely crazy trying to handle every little detail of life!
As a low-toxin, no toxin company we are many times tagged as “Crunchy” or “Scrunchy” and in some ways I am by definition. Can I let you in on a little secret?! 🤫 I recently went back to using the yellow bottle of Tide ™️ . Gasp!!! Oh the horror! I make soap and sell it and have even made many different recipes of homemade soaps. So… “Why?” you say. Because it’s not an all or nothing situation! We need to choose what is best for our family in the moment. I was simply driving myself completely mad trying to keep up on making laundry soap for our large family (and make one that even “all natural” ingredients wouldn’t make my daughter’s eczema worse or my son’s psoriasis flair up…yes I know this is also gut related 😉). Along with keeping up my home, be a small business owner, homeschool my children, be a new grandma and mom to a young married daughter, be a present wife, find time to carve out for devotions and prayer time, be a good friend to the few of you that actually get to hear from me weekly, be a great daughter, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, you get it the list goes on and on. 🤪
Control what toxins you can for your family. It doesn’t have to be perfect over night. Do the best you can with your income, resources, and time! Slowly you get to where you are using less and less toxins. Choose one small thing and adjust it. Maybe it’s as simple as a home cooked meal instead of running through the drive-thru for dinner tonight. When you allow yourself to become consumed by trying to cut out every single little toxin you burn yourself out. It creates so much fear, anxiety & stress that it’s actually probably worse for your health than the actual toxin.
We were never meant to bear the burden of Fear, Anxiety & Stress. God through his word tells us to bring those burdens to him whether big or small. Below are some scriptures to help remind us of God’s promise and plan for our lives.
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”Psalm 55:22 KJV
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 KJV
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.” Jeremiah 29:11-14 KJV
“He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.” Psalm 112:7 KJV
“The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: What can man do unto me?” Psalm 118:6 KJV
“It is better to trust in the LORD Than to put confidence in man.” Psalm 118:8 KJV
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10 KJV
Life is meant to be enjoyed and filled with freedom when we live an overcoming life through Christ. Don’t let the fears, anxieties, and stresses of this life consume us so much that we are no longer living in that freedom!
