Homemade Citrus & Mint Infused Vinegar Cleaning Spray

Homemade Citrus & Mint Infused Vinegar Cleaning Spray

Dahlia Witt

Ingredients:

1 quart mason jar stuffed with citrus peels of your choice

White distilled vinegar

Water

Fresh Mint *optional

Directions:

  1. Pack your mason jar with citrus (oranges, limes, lemon, grapefruit any of these will work) peels and fresh mint (I have this in my garden but you can also find it at the store in the produce section or just omit it) then fill to the top with vinegar. Screw on lid and set the jar on your cabinet to infuse for 2-6 weeks.
  2. Separate the rinds from the vinegar by pouring through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  3. Pour the infused vinegar into a spray bottle, filling halfway. Fill the rest with water to create a 50/50 solution. Replace the cap, give it a shake and it’s ready to use!

    *Notes:
I do not recommend using this cleaner on natural stone like granite or marble. The acidity from the vinegar and citrus peels could cause etching.
Label your cleaner so everyone knows what is in your spray bottle.
